AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE AND ENGAGE WITH THE GREATER COMMUNITY
LIFT US FOUNDATION VISITS 2K
The Lift Us Foundation was given an incredible opportunity by 2K . We are grateful to Danielle O'Dea and her team for the experience, and BTS video showing our young Superheroes expanding past the limits of their worlds.
“Sometimes you get an opportunity to step outside yourself, your life, and see a bigger picture … Michael Jenkins does that everyday with the work he’s doing in his communities in Oakland, CA. Myself and my team at 2K Mocap were privileged to be a small part of that work, and we hope it had a big impact on the young superheroes who spent a day with us at our studio. #notallheroeswearcapes” - Danielle O'Dea
OLYMPIAN VISITS OAKLAND SCHOOL
Lift Us Foundation hosted Olympian CJ Cummings. CJ is a Team USA athlete, world champion, and world record holder. CJ coached our young Superheroes, and sharing his experiences in a special Q&A session. The Lift Us Foundation also arranged for CJ to visit a local Oakland school, Madison Park Academy. He give a presentation to inspire students about his journey to becoming an Olympian, and the most accomplished weightlifter of his generation.

SUSTAINABLE FARMING EDUCATION
Lift Us Foundation were guests of Urban Adamah. Our Superheroes learned about sustainable agriculture which draws from a range of traditional and modern agricultural methods and technologies. Our athletes engaged in all aspects of the agricultural cycle – from seed to harvest, to food preparation, and composting. Along with nutrition education provided in our program, field trips like this allow families to fully appreciate where their food comes from, how it is grown, and the natural systems that makes it possible.
Athletes get an up-close look at all that goes into farming their favorite foods.
